Nashville-based singer/songwriter Kieran Kane is one of bluegrass' best-known banjo players, and one of the genre's greatest practitioners. Known for his work with country greats like Emmylou Harris and Lucinda Williams, Kane has been a integral force in developing a bluegrass sound made for a wider audience. A major label artist through much of his earlier career, Kane started his own label Dead Reckoning Records in the 2000s, and has since released much of his solo work through Dead Reckoning. Kane continues to frequent many of America's most popular country and bluegrass festivals, and can often be found playing more intimate shows in his hometown of Nashville.
