The festival is hosted by Savannah's Department of Cultural Affairs and Savannah State University. Spanning over two weeks, the event applauds the contribution of African-American people in the fields of art, music, etc. Seminars, workshops, exhibitions, dances, choirs, crafts, and gigs are attended by thousands from the state and beyond. Admission is free.
