Outlaws is a rock and roll outfit from Tampa, Florida, that owns a tough brand of Southern rock. Initially formed in 1967, the band dissolved in 1971 before releasing a record, only to reform the following year with a rejuvenated lineup. Outlaws dropped its eponymous debut album in 1975, kicking off a string of successful, definitive records that lasted through the end of the decade. As the band's notoriety died down into the 1980s and 1990s, the band was put on hold when lead vocalist and guitarist Hughie Thomasson joined Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1996. Almost a decade later in 2005, the four surviving original members reunited again as Outlaw, and the band continues to release new material, including the 2012 studio LP, It's About Pride.
