Formed in 1998, Kane is a Dutch rock band that was founded by Dinand Woesthoff (lead singer) and Dennis van Leeuwen (guitar, vocals). The group emerged with its album As Long As You Want This, and slowly rose as one of the best selling Dutch bands in history with its own style of accessible rock. After dominating the national scene, Kane went on to play major international shows as both a headlining act and as the opener for several icons, such as Bon Jovi. Sadly, in 2004 Woesthoff's wife passed away, leading him to write Kane's number one hit "Dreamer," an intimate song to commemorate his beloved wife. The group continues to build its international reputation with critically lauded albums, such as 2005's Fearless and 2009's No Surrender.
