Nestled in the rolling Laurel Mountains, Johnstown is a charming small town with a tragic, yet inspiring, history. While the Johnstown Flood, which ravaged the town in 1889, is the incident that is most commonly associated with the town, the town boasts of so much more than that. Replete with numerous attractions, the town offers something for everyone. The Frank & Sylvia Pasquerilla Heritage Discovery Center is a haven for history buffs, while the Wagner-Ritter House and Garden beckons outdoor enthusiasts. As for the floods that are nearly synonymous with the town, the Johnstown Flood Museum presents the many tales and memorabilia associated with the incident.
