In operation since 2016, La Cité du Vin is a modern wine museum that allows visitors to learn about everything from the history of wine to the art of winemaking. Wine trading, a glimpse of vine landscapes, wild vines and types of wines are just the varied topics that you can learn more about. The museum also allows visitors to meet wine connoisseurs and experts to discuss all things wine. Visitors also get the chance to learn more about the history of wine culture in Bordeaux and the city’s more significant contributions to the world of fine wines. Besides the permanent exhibits, a number of temporary exhibitions are also hosted here along with movie screenings, academic seminars and shows. Whether you are a novice wine drinker or consider yourself an expert, a couple of hours at La Cité du Vin will not let you down.
