Luckenbach is a community located in Gillespie County of Texas. The history of Luckenbach dates back to the 1840s, when a general store and saloon was opened here after the formation of the county. Today, the little town exudes a western old-world charm, reminiscent of an almost-ghost town. An old post office, a saloon, and the general store form part of its historic heritage to this day. The general store now serves as a quirky souvenir shop for curious visitors. Luckenbach is also a popular venue for live country music events and concerts.
