Located on the Wabash River, New Harmony is a charming old town whose history dates back to 1814. First settled by German immigrants under the leadership of George Rapp, the town preserves its historic heritage through the New Harmony Historic District, which is home to a number of Greek Revival and Gothic structures from the early-19th Century. Steeped in art and culture, New Harmony is also known for its art galleries, studios and museums. Popular attractions in town include the Harmonist Labyrinth, Cathedral Labyrinth and Roofless Church.
