Ramatuelle

Ramatuelle is a fortified village, which has managed to retain its old-fashioned charm. This village, with its network of small streets and alleys, has many hidden treasures including the 14th-century church of Notre-Dame. Her bell tower was originally a watch tower which was converted at the end of the 16th Century. The tomb of the famous actor Gerard Philippe (1922-1959) is located in the Ramatuelle cemetery. There are interesting vestiges of the past to be found on the outskirts of the village, like the dolmen in the Bay of Briande and the Moulins de Paillas. Take the D93 out of St. Tropez for approximately 6 kilometers (4 miles) then take the D61.
