Boasting a towering structure on the rocky peninsula of Cape Ann in Gloucester, Massachusetts, Eastern Point Lighthouse is an iconic landmark. Built in 1832 and overlooking the eastern side of Gloucester Harbor, this historic lighthouse is a cylindrical tower made out of brick that stands 36 feet (11 meters) tall. Open for visitors to tour the ground-one can take a rocky trail towards the breakwater. From this point, the view of the towering lighthouse is phenomenal.
