A legend amongst students, the LCR is used for a variety of purposes, from indoor markets and gigs to formal balls. Amongst recent visitors have been Robbie Williams, Ocean Colour Scene and Miss Moneypenny's. For most events the carpeted floor area is left bare to allow revelers to mingle freely. One medium-sized bar serves the entire area and there is a stage fronting a dance floor.
