Set in a strategically important location and regularly altered to cope with changing technology, Chepstow Castle reflects the whole history of medieval military fortification. The castle houses a major exhibition - Chepstow at War - with life-size models and a civil war battle scene. A "must see" for anyone interested in medieval warfare or the history of Wales. The site is open all year except for Christmas and New Year's Day. There is a car park below the castle and the castle has toilet facilities and its own gift shop.
