William L. Grayson Stadium

Since 1941, The William L. Grayson Stadium has played host to a number of sporting events, especially baseball games, and is currently home to the Savannah Sand Gnats of the South Atlantic League. The stadium is an important landmark in Savannah and is famous for its lush green surroundings. The fully-roofed stadium provides seating arrangements for over 8000 people and is colorfully decorated with bright red and black. It is well-structured too, with the concession and souvenir stands located below the grandstand seating area. There is also a separate out-field bleacher section. Over the years, it has played host to some of the greatest names in baseball including the likes of Ty Cobb and Mickey Mantle.
