Established in 2004, Galata Museo del Mare occupies a historic shipyard from the Republic of Genoa's era. Across four floors, you can explore Genoa's maritime heritage. The ground floor features galleys, including a 17th-century Genoese replica, weapons, and Columbus & Doria portraits. Higher floors delve into sailing and shipyards, showcasing a brigantine replica and a shipyard reconstruction. The third floor boasts a steamship bridge simulator, shipwreck artifacts, and an Ellis Island simulation. Situated beside Genoa's aquarium and overlooking the harbor, the museum offers a deep insight into Genoa's maritime legacy.
