Stade du Pays de Charleroi is a massive football stadium that is home to the Belgian soccer club Royal Charleroi Sporting Club (R.C.S.C). Constructed in the year 2000 for the high-profile UEFA League, Stade du Pays replaced the legendary Mambourg Stadium that dated back to 1923. With high stands and incredible seats that provide a view of the well-manicured field, this is one of the most premier sports facilities in the city. The enclosure can seat up to 15000 spectators and usually hosts a full house during matches involving the home team. The excitement is palpable and the energy of the enthusiastic patrons during a game day is simply infectious. Mostly used for sporting encounters, the stadium is also occasionally used by the municipal authorities for local events as well.
