As an ode to the Chevrolet Corvette, a car that has been on American roads since 1953, the National Corvette Museum was constructed in 1994. The museum is located in close proximity to the Bowling Green Assembly Plant where the Corvettes were manufactured since 1981. This sprawling building is known to house more than 70 Corvette models, eons of related memorabilia as well as specially made concept cars. One of the exhibits also includes the one-millionth Corvette that was donated by Chevrolet to the museum. The museum arranges for buyers of the Corvette to have their car picked up here, and they receive VIP tours of the museum.
