Featuring a robust performing arts scene replete with touring performers, musicians, theater companies and dance productions, this historic theater has been a part of Billings' cultural landscape for a little more than 80 years. Earlier known as the Fox Theater, the Alberta Bair Theater was thus named to honor the legacy of Charles M.Bair, whose family homestead once occupied the present-day site of the theater. Since its conception in 1931, the theater has seen the likes of memorable performers such as Ray Charles, Judy Collins, and Dizzy Gillespie, and continues to serve as the centerpiece of performing arts in not only Billings, but also between Denver, Spokane and Washington.
