The Music Hall

The Music Hall is one of Portsmouth's landmark locations. Built in the 19th century, the theater hosts literary evenings, musical performances, dance,, theater, Broadway performances and more, making it an integral part of the local cultural scene. Having hosted artists and performers from Mark Twain to Gilbert and Sullivan and Patti LuPone, the theater, recently restored to its original glory in 2008, is a true must-visit while in the town. Historic tours of the hall are available twice a week on Wednesday at 5.30pm and Sunday at 2pm at USD12.50 and include other attractions like the Moffatt Ladd House, USS Albacore Museum and Portsmouth Black Heritage Trail.
