Opened in 1978, Aggie stadium has been ranked among the best venues for football games and one of the finest sports facilities in the southwest. The playing field is Hybrid Bermuda Turf with a quick draining system beneath the surface. The stadium uses excellent energy saving sodium vapor lamps for better visibility of the games at night and also better broadcast of the games on national television.
