Waggonhalle is a the cultural focal-point of the town of Marburg, with as many as 200 to 250 events taking place on a yearly basis. An old railway station building was converted to accommodate this cultural hub which opened its doors in the year 1996. Although mainly concentrating on theater, several other concerts and workshops are also held at this venue. Plays in German as well as international languages take place here.
