The Limoges Opera, constructed by French architect Pierre Sonrel, was thrown open to the public in the spring of 1963. Aptly named, entertainment is on a grand scale at this elegant theater. The auditorium houses a decent number of people; its flexible upper ceiling can be adjusted to increase or decrease theater space. Iconic theatrical acts have been staged at this venue. Grand Theater also hosts music concerts, operas and a variety of cultural activities.
