Located within the Parc Théodore Denis in Dax, the Arènes de Dax is a renowned bullfighting arena. Built in 1913, it has hosted several memorable competitions over a period of time. Built like an amphitheater, it has the capacity to hold a mammoth 8500 strong crowd. Because of the nature of the sport, it is fully equipped to handle medical emergencies in case of injuries to bullfighters. The arena is also the venue for a 6 day annual festival called La féria de Dax. It is widely considered to be one of the top bullfighting arenas in France.
