Founded in 1806 by the veterans of war who named the city after one of America's founding principles, Liberty is a charming city with a rather small population size. A closely-knit feeling of camaraderie exists between locals who wholeheartedly participate in the festive celebrations like Christmas and New Years which take place downtown. Visitors here can head to the Liberty Lake and its surroundings for fun adventure activities, or regale themselves at the friendly cafe-bars. The historic spirit still pervades the atmosphere here!
