With a glorious legacy of having been home to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Mike Tyson, and Meryl Streep, Bernardsville is known to be one of the richest places in the state of New Jersey. This borough was incorporated in 1924 and named after Sir Francis Bernard, the first Colonial governor. Today, it still maintains its laid-back vibes and preserves elements of its rich historical past. It is home to the Olcott Avenue Historic District, which features Colonial Revival style buildings in the form of old houses and landmarks such as the Bernardsville United Methodist Church.
