TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING, PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Part of the Shiawassee County in Michigan, the city of Owosso was named after the hardy chief Wasso from the Ojibwa tribe. The city today is replete with art institutes, castles, speedways, museums, amphitheaters, and public libraries, as well as a regular celebration of events. Being the largest city in the county, Owosso is a thriving tourist destination. The Curwood Castle in the city, which resembles a Norma chateau, is a popular historical landmark. The Comstock Cabin, a one-room log house that was the first permanent residence of the town, is another unmissable attraction.
