Cameco Capitol Arts Centre, also known as the Capitol Theater, is Port Hope's premier theatrical space which has repeatedly pleased loyalists with its versatile range of events that include everything from spectacular plays, concerts, TIFF films and screenings of the Metropolitan Opera and British National Theater. It is one of the last remaining historic theaters that originally screened movies and is reputed to be one of the first in the country to do so. Expect a larger-than-life experience at this acoustically sound and well-equipped theater that attracts a crowd of almost 70000 cultural buffs every year.
