Situated in the city's western suburbs, Allianz Riviera serves as one of the prime sports venues and the home turf of OGC Nice football team. Established in the year 2013, the stadium's inaugral tie was played between Valenciennes and Nice, which the hosts won 4-0. Apart from playing venue to OGC Nice's football fixtures, it also hosts home games of Toulon, a regional rugby club. Allianz Riviera is also one of the venues for high-ticket tournaments like the UEFA and Euro Championships.
