DierenPark Amersfoort is a zoo which was founded in 1948. The zoo has expanded considerably from its humble beginning when it just had a bear, a monkey, some farm animals and a camel. Today, the zoo has over 100 different species of animals including big cats like cheetahs, tigers and white lions. The zoo has several volunteering programs for caretakers and so on. The premises also have rental space for parties and events.
