Arboretum de Chevreloup

Situated near the Palace of Versailles is the Arboretum de Chevreloup, a major park in the area. This property belongs to the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle and is open to public only during summers. Established in the late 18th Century by Bernard de Jussieu, a renowned botanist, the garden underwent many changes and was ultimately sold to private owners. Today, the garden boasts of housing as many as 15,000 different species and genomes of trees, plants, and shrubs and invites enthusiasts for visitation from April to mid-November.
