Milazzo is one of the largest cities in Messina and a significant part of Sicily which has been around since the Neolithic age. The city has, since then come under the rule of the Anthenians, Byzantines and Romans and, as such, bears signs of its illustrious history. Some of the noteworthy tourist attractions in this coastal city include the Church of the Holy Crucifix, which is constructed in Baroque style, the Castle of Milazzo which shows Arab, Norman and Gothic influences, and many more.
