Set in a splendid park with a rose garden, the eighteenth-century Villa Grimaldi underwent modifications by architect Daneri to accommodate the residential needs of the Fassio family. It now houses the Frugone collections, open to the public, which comprises sculptures, paintings, and drawings by both Italian and foreign artists from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth century. The collection includes numerous portraits and landscapes, reflecting the artistic taste of the bourgeoisie of that era. Among the most renowned artists featured are G. Fattori, G. Boldini, G. De Nittis, L. Bistolfi, and G. Segantini, along with several works by R. Miller. The museum also boasts an extensive information archive and educational sessions for schools or families can be arranged.
