Brighton-based English lo-fi band, Porridge Radio, started out as a solo project of singer-songwriter and guitarist Dana Margolin. Its first album Misery Radio was released through a minor label in 2015, followed by the self-released I'm Not Sure Anymore. The project grew into a four-piece band following the inclusion of Georgie Stott, Maddie Ryall and Sam Yardley. The group released its next album Rice, Pasta and Other Fillers in 2016. 2020 brought with it a new record deal with Secretly Canadian and the issue of Porridge Radio's first major-label record, Every Bad. The album was noted not for its improved recording quality as compared to the project's previous releases. The group has also released singles including "O. Christmas," "Give," "Take," "Don't Ask Me Twice" and "Lilac."
