Born to a bass playing father and a singing mother, Eric Darius was exposed to music at a young age. Growing up listening to Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Al Green, Darius would go on to develop a love of adept musicality. After seeing someone playing the saxophone at church at the age of nine, Darius would fall in love with the instrument and would eventually receive one from his parents for his birthday. Starting to perform at the age of 11, Darius ventured forth into the jazz world, playing classic numbers from the likes of Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Louis Armstrong. Releasing his debut album, Cruisin', in 2000, Darius has since kept active, releasing music frequently and maintaining a busy touring schedule.
