With more harmonies than you can handle, groovy beats and poetic lyrics about love, loss and temporality, Dr. Dog’s psychedelic sound is unlike anything heard this side of the 1960s. Straight out of Philadelphia, this five-piece created its unique old-school sound in home studios on classic 8-track recording equipment. Behind the distinctive lead vocals of Toby Leaman and Scott McMicken, the rest of the band rounds out Dr. Dog’s music with plenty of guitar fuzz, poppy keyboard riffs and a chorus of backing vocals.
