Maluca Mala

Born into a Dominican family in New York City, Natalie Yepez was raised on traditional Latin music at home and exposed to the world of hip-hop and electronica on the streets. These influential spheres combine in the diva's music-- performed under the moniker Maluca Mala or simply, Maluca--a fusion of Latin house, ghettotech beats and Spanish language freestyle. While Maluca initially had no intention of making music a career, she caught the ear of famed producer Diplo at a karaoke night, who subsequently signed her to his Mad Decent label.
