Headroom is the stage name for Adam Metcalfe, a psychedelic trance DJ from Cape Town, South Africa by way of Zimbabwe, whose immense presence at festivals and parties throughout the world has done much to not only advance the young DJ's reputation but also the trance genre as a whole. Headroom's progressive drive as a DJ comes primarily from his desire to lift the trance genre from the rather predictable and stereotypical state it has lapsed into, describing his forward thinking method of crafting music as "art-elligent." Indeed, for DJ Headroom, creating music is not only something he loves, but something that requires a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication that many musicians on the scene these days lack.
