Axis of Awesome

Members of the Australian trio Axis of Awesome were all heavily involved in the Sydney improv scene, with multiple awards to their names, respectively, before deciding to join forces in 2006. Shifting its style of comedy from stand-up to song, Axis of Awesome performs comedy rock and pop parodies. While the band had already attained a bit of fame in its home country, it was the release of the song "4 Chords," which showcased 36 pop songs that all relied on the same four chords, that helped Axis of Awesome receive international fame and millions of views on YouTube. Since then, the trio has released several albums and focused on touring around the world.
