MC Frontalot

Any rapper that goes onstage wearing a tie and pocket protector already starts with the deck stacked against him. Luckily for MC Frontalot, that deck of is full of Magic cards and his lyrics are so jam packed with effortlessly brilliant references to references to blogs, video games and every other corner of nerd culture that any doubts about his ability instantly dissipate. While other rappers occasionally revealed their inner nerds, MC Frontalot was one of the first to really revel in it--even going as far as coining the genre "nerdcore hip hop" describe the wave to geeky hip hop heads that followed in his wake.
