Matthew Halsall

Matthew Halsall is a jazz trumpeter and bandleader from Manchester, England who has gone one to distinguish himself as one of the UK's leading jazz musicians since emerging in 2008 with his debut album, Sending My Love. With a unique and expressive tone, Halsall oftentimes draws inspiration from transcendentalism and various, fringe forms of spiritualism. Not content to let his jazz meanderings fend for themselves, Halsall has been known to interject electronic production textures alongside jazz instrumentals to provide some modern sonic relevancy.
