Gilles Peterson

Widely recognized as a musical tastemaker for his DJ work on the youth oriented program BBC Radio 1, Gilles Peterson has an eclectic ear for interesting and eccentric sounds that most people wouldn't think to listen to unless someone recommended it. His music selections tend to be of the electronic variety, but his deep love of jazz music has a clear influence as well and the blending of electronic and jazz styles is Peterson's defining sonic trait. While he maintains a dedicated schedule for his radio program, Peterson also DJs at clubs as well as festivals and continues to introduce new and esoteric music to the masses.
