Love and Money are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 1983. The band is composed of frontman James Grant, bassist Paul McGeechan, guitarist Bobby Paterson, and drummer Stuart Kerr. They are best known for their hit singles "Candybar Express" and "Halleluiah Man". Love and Money's music is a blend of rock, pop, and soul, with a strong emphasis on melody and lyrics. Their debut album, Strange Kind of Love, was released in 1986 and was a critical and commercial success. It spawned the hit singles "Candybar Express" and "Halleluiah Man", both of which reached the UK Top 40. The band followed up with their second album, Dogs in the Traffic, in 1988. The album was a darker, more experimental effort than their debut, and featured the singles "Jocelyn Square" and "Strange Kind of Love". Love and Money released two more albums, Love and Money and The Devil's Debt, before disbanding in 1994. They reunited in 2006 and released their fifth album, The Beautiful Madness, in 2008. The band continues to tour and perform live, and their music has been featured in films and television shows. Love and Money's music is a timeless blend of rock, pop, and soul, and their songs remain popular to this day.
