Founded in 2008, Imagine Dragons is a four-piece indie rock/pop outfit from Las Vegas. After winning various battle of the bands competitions, the band entered the studio for the first time and released two EPs, 2008's Speak to Me and a self-titled 2009 offering. The band's punchy sound quickly resonated with audiences. Once the 2012 single "It's Time" was featured in the trailer of the anticipated film adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Imagine Dragons began to cross the line between the realms of indie and mainstream rock music. The band released its anticipated debut album Night Visions, in 2012.
