The Lake County Captains is an American minor league baseball team based out of Eastlake, Ohio that competes in the Eastern Division of the Midwest League. Founded in 1991, the team has acted as a Class A affiliate to the Major League Baseball team the Cleveland Indians--a club within close proximity of the Captains's home in Eastlake. Having won its first of several division titles in 1992, the team has gone on to distinguish itself as more than just an organization that produces talented players who go on to have successful careers in the big leagues.
