René Marik

Rene Marik is a puppeteer and comedian from Germany who has sold more than 100,000 DVD copies of his wildly popular shows. A member of a punk rock band before being introduced to puppet shows by a friend, he has since dedicated his whole life to the craft and performance style. With characters such as The Mole, a blind and lovesick rodent who often acts as protagonist, Marik creates spoofs on a variety of subjects, including children's stories and fairy tales such as "Hanzel and Gretel" and "Rapunzel." Since the massive success of his debut DVD, Autschn!, he continues to tour Germany with his puppeteer troupe, KasperPop.
