A. Tom Collins

The great-great-grandson of another Tom Collins, the one responsible for creating the famous gin cocktail, A. Tom Collins is making a name for himself through entirely different means. The raspy-voiced songwriter creates a lively hybrid of rock music, with varied influences pulled from jazz, blues and punk. Collins grew up in a religious household and was exclusively exposed to classical or religious music, which resulted in him taking to the piano as early as six years-old. As he got older and his musical knowledge expanded, he's found plenty of like-minded musicians around the Denver, Colorado area who have helped him realize his vision of soulful, piano-driven rock and roll punctuated with horn blasts and vocal intensity.
