American Tomahawk

Primarily the project of singer/songwriter Adam Halferty, American Tomahawk creates what Halferty likes to call "music by sad man for happy people," or indie rock-meets-Americana jams that remain upbeat, even if lyrically they're dark and brooding. Halferty was raised in Denver, Colorado, but moved to Los Angeles to attempt to reach a broader fan base. Since then, he has adopted a few backing musicians who have aided him in bolstering his acoustic songwriting into a richer, more layered style. After showcasing at festivals like SXSW and The UMS, American Tomahawk has managed to garner some well-deserved hype and respect.
