Onward, Soldiers

North Carolina-based band Onward, Soldiers is an indie rock band known for its snappy blend of Americana, roots rock and rock and roll elements. With a frequently rotating cast of musicians focused around singer/songwriter Sean Thomas Gerard, the band composes its music with a variety of jangly folk instruments that compliment Gerard's commanding acoustic guitar chops. Onward, Soldiers released its debut album Ghosts In This Town, to critical acclaim in 2010 for its endearing lyrics and raw but tight three-part harmonies, and its follow-up effort, 2012's Monsters, holds the same sincerity while offering a fully seasoned, indie roots rock sound.
