Michael Alec Anthony West, who performs under a number of monikers including Rebel MC, Conquering Lion and Congo Natty, is a an English producer and singer. West's productions are oftentimes hard hitting and aggressive, while his lyrics focus on Afrocentric themes, primarily African diaspora. West released his debut album, Rebel Music, in 1990 and since then he has continued to release LPs in addition to maintaining a busy performance schedule.
