Coastal California son Matt Popieluch, is a Los Angeles-based indie rock singer who is known as Big Search. Although he played rather straightforward, low-key indie pop/rock with his band Foreign Born, as a solo act, he taps into the history of folk-rock, playing bright yet intimate songs. With the encouragement of his friends, he released his debut record as Big Search, a full-length album titled Role Reversal, with Jaunt Records in 2014. Dating back to chaotic demise of his former band and the dissolution of his relationship, the album features harmonies, horns, synthesizers, woodwinds and contributions from a range of renowned artists.
