Frans Bauer is a popular Dutch folk singer who is known for representing his trailer park lifestyle. Although he had set out to follow a career in music at an early age, Bauer didn't see his local breakthrough until 1987, when he released his debut single "Ben Je Jong." National fame followed when he appeared in the television show All You Need Is Love in 1992, after which he started working on an album. Finally, in 1994 Bauer released his national hit "Als Sterren Aan De Hemel Staan." His temporal and musical emigration to neighboring Germany turned out to be a successful move as he conquered German crowds with his German-language album Weil Ich Dich Liebe. With his international fame growing, he decided to start a reality show on national television, called De Bauers, broadcasting his daily life and schedule. After countless concerts, tours and side projects, the singer ducked back in the studio to produce his popular single "Skippybal" in 2014.
